Utah High School Hockey Announces Changes to Officiating Systems.
Utah High School Hockey board has announced that regular season high school hockey games will transition away from the 3-official system (1 referee, 2 linesmen) for the 2021-2022 season. All high school regular season games will utilize the 2-official system (2 referees). During the opening rounds of the playoffs, high school hockey will utilize the 2-official system. Starting with the semi-final rounds, the 4-official system (2 referees, 2 linesmen) will be used.
